LocalMotion Learning Framework: Discovering, acting on, and shaping our work. Check it out

The toolkit provides a range of learning activities that support embodied and integrated learning.

Each activity has an indicative time requirement, whether it can be done in-person and/or online, the group size requirements, the level of participation required and the type of activity.  The learning activities have been categorised by type of activity as follows:

  1. Creative – Activities that involve visualisation, drawing, mapping, or other creative ways to process learning.
  2. Games & Experiential Learning – Interactive or movement-based activities that encourage learning through play and experience.
  3. Group/Collaborative Learning – Structured discussions, peer-to-peer learning, and collaborative exercises.
  4. Reflective – Activities focused on self-awareness, personal insights, and structured reflection that require internal processing.
  5. Storytelling & Sensemaking – Activities that focus on sharing narratives, system-wide perspectives, or co-constructing meaning.
  6. Systems Thinking – Tools and frameworks that help individuals understand complexity and engage with wider systems.
